Position Summary

The Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant is a vital member of the surgical team, assisting in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with conditions affecting the mouth, jaw, face, and neck. This role is integral to ensuring optimal patient outcomes by supporting the oral and maxillofacial surgeon during all stages of care, from pre-operative to post-operative.

Responsibilities include

preparing the surgical environment, sterilizing instruments, managing patient records, providing patient education, and contributing to a smooth workflow in the surgical setting. The Maxillofacial Surgery Assistant also assists with patient assessments, taking diagnostic radiographs, and providing follow-up care, ensuring both high-quality care and patient safety.
