Definitive job description should be reviewed and discussed between you and your manager. What you do Develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards. Ensure alignment with regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements. Work with Data Stewards and Data Owners to operationalize governance processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders (example business users, IT, data owners, and stewards) to identify and prioritize data governance initiatives and embed data governance practices. Define and monitor data quality rules, metrics, and KPIs for critical datasets. Conduct data quality assessments and develop remediation plans.
Coordinate periodic data profiling and attestation exercises with business units. Develop and maintain data governance metrics and prepare dashboards, reports, and documentation for management reviews, governance forums, and regulatory audits. Maintain comprehensive documentation of data governance processes, issues, and decisions.
Conduct training and support to stakeholders on data governance policies and procedures and awareness programs. Act as the primary communication point for governance-related updates and escalations. Support processes for data classification, cataloging, lineage, retention, and metadata management. Establish and implement model risk management framework/policy to ensure compliance with regulatory expectations and Group standards, covering model lifecycle management including development, validation, approval, monitoring, and periodic review.
Conduct model risk materiality assessments, as well as FEAT (Fairness, Ethnic, Accountability, Transparency) assessment, and familiar with concept of model validation. Collaborate closely with model development teams and users to enforce the registration of model/AI use cases in the inventory as part of model/AI lifecycle management.
Drive the operationalisation of the OCBC MY’s model and AI inventory, maintaining comprehensive documentation and audit trails. Partner with independent validators, auditors, and regulators to ensure smooth compliance and swift resolution of model findings Exposure to model governance, model risk management and/or AI governance practices within financial services is an added advantage.
Familiarity with AI governance principles (e.g. explainability, fairness, accountability) would be beneficial.
Who you are
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field At least 3 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices Qualifications Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or analytics tools is a plus.
