JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Nursing is responsible for providing leadership, management, and oversight of all nursing staff as they provide psychiatric care. The DON must lead by example and be capable of providing direct patient care in an exemplary manner. This position is responsible for providing clinical oversight for the day-to-day operations of the hospital and for teaching and supervising other mental healthcare workers.
