Job description
ABOUT ROX Rox is an AI-native B2B revenue intelligence company. We are a Series A startup under active construction. Seven months ago we were just under 60 people. Today we are closing in on 130. We move fast, we ship constantly, and we build with the same AI-native systems we sell to our customers.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Founder's Office exists to scale our founder and CEO. We are hiring for BizOps, Founder's Office: a full-time operator who reports directly to our CEO. For the next two years, you are the CEO's right-hand resource. Over time, the seat may grow to support additional executives, but the charter starts with one job: making the CEO's time, attention, and decisions go further.
Location: This role is based in our San Francisco office. You need to be in the office five days a week. WHY THIS ROLE IS FOUNDER-FACING As Rox scales, more of the company runs through the CEO: customers, hiring, investors, and the decisions that set direction. This role turns that load into a system: the right meetings, the right prep, the right follow-through, and an operating cadence the company can run on.
This is not an executive assistant role, and it is not a strategy deck role. It is an operator seat for someone who wants a front-row view of how a fast-scaling company gets built, and who will be measured on one thing: whether the CEO gets more done.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own the CEO's operating rhythm: calendar strategy, weekly priorities, and where time goes versus where it should go
- Run logistics end to end: travel, customer, investor, and board meetings, offsites, and events, with nothing dropped
- Prepare the CEO for every meeting that matters: context, briefs, pre-reads, and a clear ask
- Drive follow-through: capture decisions and owners, chase commitments, and close the loop without being asked
- Build and run the company's operating cadence with the CEO: leadership meetings, planning cycles, goal setting, and business reviews
- Own planning workstreams: quarterly and annual planning, goal tracking, and the documents that come out of them
- Take on special projects from the CEO, scope them fast, and deliver them without hand-holding
- Act as a trusted extension of the CEO with the leadership team, customers, and partners, with sound judgment on what to handle and what to escalate
- Build lightweight systems and automations (Slack, Notion, AI-native workflows) so recurring work runs without you
- Get hands-on with the Rox product itself, including regular dogfooding, so you can sell the mission with real conviction WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Required: A bachelor's degree and at least 2 to 3 years of operational experience in a hyper-growth, fast-scaling startup or tech company.
- Plus: An MBA, or a background in investment banking or consulting. Neither is required.
- Very strong pedigree. A record of standout performance at the schools, firms, and companies you have been part of.
- Operator or player first. You do not wait for a lane to be defined, you build it. You turn a vague ask into a plan, a calendar, and a finished result.
- Calm under load. You juggle dozens of moving pieces, re-plan when the day changes, and still do not drop a detail.
- Judgment and discretion. You know what matters to the CEO, what can wait, and what should never leave the room.
- Clear, crisp writing. Briefs, plans, and follow-ups that someone can act on in two minutes.
- High-impact outlier. You look for leverage everywhere and you are not precious about title or scope.
- Amazing human above all. Rox is a small team doing a lot, and how you treat people matters as much as what you ship.
- A track record of ownership, speed, craftsmanship, and learning velocity, the same bar we hold every candidate to at Rox.
- Real pull toward Rox specifically. Between two similarly qualified candidates, the one who wants to be here, who has done the homework on the product and the mission, wins. Passion for what we're building is a genuine tiebreaker in this process.
- Someone who wants this seat for the next two years. The charter is the CEO, and continuity matters.
COMPENSATION
$180,000 to $220,000 USD. Total compensation includes benefits, stock options, and perks. A NOTE ON HOW WE HIRE At Rox, we evaluate for ownership, client obsession, craftsmanship, speed, pivot ability, collaboration, cross-functional impact, systems thinking, and learning velocity. We expect this role, more than any other, to embody that bar.
