  • Day (United States of America) Hours Per Pay Period: 80 Job Description: Range: $23.00- $31.58 Posting Date: 7/27/2026 Internal Closing Date: 7/31/2026 * Internal candidates must apply by midnight on the Closing Date in order to have bidding rights. Assist the perioperative staff (nursing and technical) by performing routine tasks in support of daily physical and psychological needs of patients and their families. These tasks may include ADLs, distribution of meals, obtaining and recording vitals, answering phones, greeting/escorting patients/families, and entering orders under defined situations. Responsible for patient transport to and from the operating room, readying and moving gurneys, filling formalin, stocking supplies, including but not limited to, anesthesia carts, solutions and linens. Assist with tasks necessary for the general organization of perioperative services, including, turnover of the OR suites, and transporting equipment and specimens. Setup, maintenance, and cleaning of assigned equipment Performs other tasks as needed, including, but not limited to the assisting in the OR, PACU and Pre-Op areas. Follows daily direction from Supervisor(s). Participate as a member of the clinical interdisciplinary team to provide care of patients three years in age and above. Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job. Job Requirements Minimum Education: High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience Preferred Education: Medical terminology or related experience Minimum Experience: 1 year healthcare related training, education or experience (nursing, pre-med, EMT) or successful completion of Palomar Health CCE program or CNA certification Preferred Experience: 1 - 2 years related healthcare clinical experience Required Certification: American Heart Association recognized BLS
