Department: Operations Job Description: JOB SUMMARY: The Fuel Advisor is responsible fo r monitorin g the driving behaviors of company commercial drivers and then mentoring them on proper asset utilizatio n for improved fuel economy. JOB DESCRIPTION: Key Responsibilities: Advising drivers on ways to reduce excessive fuel consumption according to various metrics (MPGs, idle time, progressive shifting techniques, etc.)
Assessing driver and vehicle performance and determine cost savings measures on an individual basis Continuously reminding drivers about the significance of properly maintaining equipment for optimal performance Educating fleets on best practices and technical solutions QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required Preferred Qualifications: Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment with competing priorities and a focus on delivering projected results Well organized and communicative High degree of initiative and independent execution Knowledge of time/distance geography preferred Ability to handle high volumes of inbound email Over the Road driving experience S ome familiarity with AS/400 operating system E ffective presentation skills SKILLS & ABILITIES: Data entry Customer service Attention to detail Accurate documentation Follow through Communication Time management Basic math calculations AS/400 PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Ability to stand and walking around WORK EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of general administrative experience in a high call volume environment Workshift: Education: In compliance with Federal and State equal employment opportunity laws, qualified candidates are considered for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, veteran status, non-job-related disability, or any other protected group status.
