**POSITION SUMMARY:  ** The Sr. Manager HR Systems & Planning oversees the Human Resources Information Systems & Planning department and is responsible for the management, design, development, testing and upgrades of the Company’s HR Systems portfolio. The role also guides and supervises the project management activities within the HR Technology department. The position also works with a multitude of departments to facilitate all HR systems requirements, provides guidance to downstream/upstream systems, and facilitates data feeds.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (This is a representative list of the general duties the position may be asked to perform, and is not intended to be all-inclusive)

  • Lead and manage a team by training, developing and coaching team members on a consistent basis
  • Plans, manages, and oversees the coordination of activities in the design, development, implementation, enhancement, maintenance, upgrades and operation of the Company’s automated human capital management systems and sub-systems portfolio.
  • Manages and leads the QDM A.B.L.E. process, prepares associated business requirement specifications, designs, plans, tests and implements modifications and enhancements to human capital management systems and subsystems.
  • Makes certain that quality assurance testing of all system development and enhancements is completed prior to production implementation.
  • Acts as business system consultant and advisor to the enterprise, including functional users, occasional users, and other work management teams.
  • Oversees the interface of data to/from downstream, upstream, and third-party systems
  • Manages vendor relations of new and existing contracts.
  • Provides leadership in the development and implementation of the strategic plan and operating plan for the human capital management system and relevant data management.
  • Develops and monitors department budgets to ensure efficient utilization of resources. Plans and directs the achievement of HCM goals and objectives.
  • Coordinates communications with business partners and IT staff in diagnosing and resolving HR system issues, problems, or questions. Acts as primary liaison between Human Resources business partners, Information Technology and third parties.
  • Plays a key role in HR’s data strategy planning, including governance policy management, data stewardship activities, and data remediation tactics
  • Partners with various HR teams for data modeling, data analysis and interpretation of trends from Company data to support workforce planning.
  • Keeps fully informed of current developments in Human Capital Management systems and subsystems and makes recommendations to management for system enhancements.
  • Supports department project planning and prioritization
  • Makes certain quality of project management and project activities adhere to standards
  • Oversees HR project management of HR Systems ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, on budget
  • Provides leadership in ensuring consistency in project delivery and support through Project Management Methodologies
  • All other duties as needed or required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years’ experience in the use of HRM Systems
  • 2+ years of management experience preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in project implementation
  • Experience monitoring data impact and needs of company
  • Experience in conflict resolution preferred
  • Experience in a retail environment preferred
