Position Description: This position focuses on Regulatory Compliance (PS&R) and Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) for chemical products for the electronics and semiconductor industries —especially for Taiwan (and broader Asia-Pacific markets such as China).

Overview

Classify chemical hazards with support from Chemical Management Create Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and labels Ensure compliance with GHS and local TW regulations Support customers and internal teams with regulatory inquiries Assist R&D teams with understanding hazards and regulatory status of candidate formulations Help build internal HAZCOM capability (currently outsourced) Key Responsibilities

  1. HAZCOM & SDS Authoring Create and maintain SDSs and labels Perform hazard classifications (GHS-based) Ensure compliance with Taiwan regulations
  2. Systems & Data Management Use SAP EH&S or other HAZCOM software Maintain product & regulatory data Run classification rules Generate SDSs/labels Troubleshoot data inconsistencies
  3. Regulatory Compliance Understand chemical regulations (especially Taiwan/China/Asia) Support substance registrations for new/existing chemicals with TPR (Third-Party Representative) SVT – Substance Volume Tracking to ensure compliance with Taiwan Small Quantity Registrations Ensure compliance through product lifecycle
  4. Business Support Respond to customer compliance inquiries Support R&D for development and registration of new products Handle confidential business info (CBI)
  5. Continuous Improvement Improve HAZCOM processes Help transition from outsourced to internal capabilities Collaborate globally Must-Have Qualifications Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar experience from professional background 5 years HAZCOM/SDS authoring and/or regulatory management experience Strong: Problem-solving Data analysis Communication skills Experience working independently across international teams SAP EH&S expertise (S/4 HANA experience preferred) UN and AP Regional GHS framework knowledge Semiconductor/chemical industry experience Traditional Chinese + English language proficiency Simplified Chinese proficiency is a strong plus Join our Talent Community to stay connected with us!
