Care Assistant (Female) | Elderly Care | Petersfield Locations: Downs House & Stroud House, Petersfield Salary: £13.70 per hour + weekend enhancements Hours: Various part-time and full-time opportunities available (Days & Nights) Contract: Permanent Closing Date: 30th September 2026 Join Our Friendly Residential Care Teams SDR is looking for dedicated and experienced Female Care Assistants to join our friendly teams at Downs House and Stroud House Residential Care Homes.
If you have experience providing high-quality care and enjoy supporting older people, including those living with dementia and complex needs, we would love to hear from you. Available Roles Peripatetic Care Assistant : Day shifts, 30 hours per week, working between both homes. A driving licence is required. Stroud House Care Assistant: Night shifts, 36 hours per week.
Downs House Care Assistant: Night shifts, 36–48 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care and support with daily living. Support residents’ mobility, wellbeing and independence. Build positive relationships through companionship and emotional support. Follow care plans and support residents’ choices. Complete accurate care records. Work collaboratively with the care team.
Requirements
Previous Care Assistant experience in a care home, residential care or healthcare setting. A reliable and committed approach to care. Understanding of dignity, choice and independence. Availability for the advertised shift pattern. Dementia experience is desirable. A driving licence is required for the peripatetic role only.
