SALARY: Stipend

  • Schedule B2 � E-Sport Assistant Coach - $4,582 Internal applicants must submit the following to Human Resources: letter of interest specifying which position(s) they are applying for, valid coaching certification, valid CPR/First Aid certification The following documents must be complete and current for application to be considered for this position: Online Application Letter of Interest specifying which position(s) the candidate is applying for (i.e. head, assistant) Resume Copy of Valid Certification and/or License (First Aid, CPR and Coaches Certificate) Transcripts (if applicable) Three Current Letters of Recommendation (dated within one year of application) Job Summary : Esports athletes playing under an organization generally live in the gaming house of the organization. These gaming houses usually provide a living space and a gaming space for the players. High school coaches should be experts on the rules, strategies, and techniques of their sport, and also know about sports equipment, physical fitness, and safety.

Responsibilities

Directs all aspects, areas, and components of the esports team. Coordinates all strategic aspects of the esports program Planning: Planning and organizing practice sessions, and developing physical conditioning programs Coaching: Instructing athletes on the rules, strategies, and techniques of the sport, and providing feedback and coaching during competitions Motivating: Motivating players to improve and develop sportsmanship Recruiting: Recruiting new athletes for the team Managing: Managing equipment and facilities to ensure safe playing conditions, and working with the athletics director to schedule facilities Assessing: Assessing player skills and assigning team positions Representing: Representing the school in a favorable manner, and adhering to the district athletic department philosophy Mentoring: Mentoring players to develop sportsmanship and respect for the game Keeping records: Keeping records of athletes' and opponents' performances Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrated excellent leadership and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Ability to foster an open and welcoming environment to all student-athletes. Thorough working knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the sport. Knowledge of current and developing trends in esports technology, methodology, and techniques. Ability to effectively analyze programs and events and recommend opportunities for improvement and growth.
