The Position… Based in Mordialloc, this newly created role is focussed on driving continued growth and expansion into the VIC market. While your focus will be on the core cardboard offerings, the company is in a unique position to offer additional products such as packaging consumables and industrial timber products through their other Melbourne based facilities, providing a great opportunity to cross-sell and expand.
You will be responsible for maintaining some existing key accounts but there will be a strong focus on new business and growing your customer base. The territory will cover all of the Melbourne metropolitan area. The Ideal Candidate… To be considered for this role, you will possess the following: You must have a minimum of 2+ years prior experience in sales in the cardboard / fibreboard sector (Desirable).
You can leverage off your past and newly acquired customer base and develop new business leads (Desirable). You must be able to hunt for new business and account manage as you secure new business. Identify new opportunities and follow them through to a successful close. You’ll be hungry and competitive whilst maintaining your professionalism.
You’ll know your budget targets and be able to clearly illustrate your plans on reaching these targets on a quarterly basis. You possess a self-starter attitude with a solid work ethic. Exposure to quoting and tendering would be advantageous. Excellent verbal and written communication is required. An average knowledge of computing (Outlook, Excel, Word, Inventory management systems).
Competent with measuring and offering solutions to customers. To be able to work independently post the initial induction period. Able to assist your fellow sales colleagues with technical know-how when required.
