Job Description – Sales Officer (Agrochemical) Job Title: Sales Officer Department: Sales & Marketing Industry: Agrochemical / Crop Protection Location: As per Company Requirement Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary The Sales Officer will be responsible for achieving sales targets by developing and managing dealer, distributor, and farmer networks within the assigned territory.
The role involves promoting the company's agrochemical products, conducting field demonstrations, organizing farmer meetings, generating market demand, and ensuring timely collections while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in the assigned territory. Develop and strengthen dealer, distributor, and retailer networks. Promote agrochemical products including insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, PGRs, and other crop protection solutions. Conduct field demonstrations, farmer meetings, crop seminars, and promotional activities.
Visit farmers regularly to provide technical product recommendations and crop advisory support. Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage. Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends, and submit regular market intelligence reports. Ensure timely order collection, payment recovery, and outstanding management.
Maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, retailers, and key farmers. Prepare daily call reports (DCR), tour plans, sales reports, and expense statements. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely product availability and customer support.
Qualifications
B.Sc. Agriculture (Preferred) / Diploma in Agriculture / Any Graduate with relevant agrochemical sales experience. 2–5 years of experience in Agrochemical, Crop Protection, Seeds, Fertilizers, or Agri-input sales. Freshers with a B.Sc. Agriculture degree may be considered for trainee-level positions, depending on business requirements.

Primary and secondary sales growth. New dealer/distributor appointments. Market coverage and farmer reach. Collection efficiency. Customer satisfaction and retention.
Timely submission of sales reports.
