Job description
We are looking for an experienced Tableau Administrator with 4–8 years of relevant Tableau Administration experience to manage and support the organization's Tableau environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in configuration management, user administration, performance tuning, and Tableau Server management.
This role requires ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of the Tableau platform while working in rotational morning and afternoon shifts.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, configure, and maintain Tableau Server and its environments. Manage user accounts, groups, roles, permissions, and security policies. Perform configuration management, including server setup, upgrades, patching, and migrations. Monitor Tableau Server performance and implement performance tuning to optimize dashboards and server resources.
Publish, schedule, and manage Tableau workbooks, data sources, and extracts. Troubleshoot server, user, and dashboard-related issues and ensure timely resolution. Monitor system health, capacity, and server utilization to ensure high availability. Collaborate with developers, business users, and infrastructure teams to support reporting requirements.
Maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes for Tableau Server. Create and maintain technical documentation for administration, configurations, and support activities. Ensure compliance with security, governance, and organizational standards. Key Skills & Qualifications 4–8 years of relevant Tableau Administration experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Server Administration. Expertise in configuration management, including installation, upgrades, patching, and migrations. Experience in user management, security configuration, roles, groups, and permissions. Strong knowledge of performance tuning and Tableau Server optimization.
Experience in monitoring Tableau environments and resolving production issues. Good understanding of SQL, databases, and data connectivity. Familiarity with Windows/Linux server administration is an advantage. Knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
