Job description

We are looking for an Associate Project Manager to support and execute EPC and Grid Automation projects across engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and project close-out activities for Hitachi Energy. The ideal candidate will work closely with Project Managers to coordinate cross-functional teams, monitor project KPIs, support project financial tracking, and ensure adherence to quality, safety, contractual, and governance standards.

This role requires strong exposure to EPC workflows and Grid Automation systems within power transmission, substation automation, or industrial automation environments, along with the ability to manage documentation, SAP updates, project reporting, and stakeholder coordination in a structured and detail-oriented manner.

Key Responsibilities

Support Project Managers in executing EPC and Grid Automation projects across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, testing, commissioning, and project close-out phases Independently manage assigned project work packages including documentation management, SAP updates, action tracking, invoicing milestones, close-out activities, checklist preparation, and risk & opportunity tracking Coordinate with engineering, procurement, logistics, manufacturing, quality, and site teams to ensure timely project deliverables Maintain and update SAP/GPP project parameters including project structures, planned costs, cash flow elements, warranty blocks, and governance compliance requirements Track and monitor project KPIs such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), invoice milestones, variations/claims, and risk mitigation actions Prepare and maintain project documentation including status reports, technical submittal trackers, MOMs, action logs, and dashboards Support customer communication through progress updates and query clarifications Coordinate project handover to service teams including snag-list closure, PAC/FAC follow-up, warranty triggers, and contract deliverables Ensure compliance with safety, quality, HSE, and organizational standards Contribute proactively to project execution and stakeholder coordination activities across multiple workstreams Key Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering, or related technical discipline 3–5 years of experience in EPC/Turnkey or Grid Automation project execution Exposure to: FACTS Substation Automation Protection & Control RTU/SCADA Network Control Systems Strong understanding of EPC workflows including engineering deliverables, procurement processes, contractor coordination, and installation/testing activities Familiarity with engineering and project documents such as SLDs, GA drawings, BOQs, compliance matrices, ITP/QAP, and engineering schedules Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams across engineering, supply chain, quality, manufacturing, and site execution Knowledge of project financial tracking, dashboards, KPI monitoring, cash flow inputs, and risk logs Strong working knowledge of SAP, Primavera/MS Project, MS Excel, Power BI, and project reporting tools Ability to understand technical dependencies within RTUs, protection schemes, communication networks, control systems, relays, and automation cabinets Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple project workstreams simultaneously with strong follow-up capability Apply by sending your CV to careers@cliqhr.
