Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour Employer 3% 401(k) Retirement Match As an integral member of The Northern Lighthouse, Inc. team, the BHP at Safe Harbor Home provides compassionate, structured supervision and support for foster children awaiting placement.

This position offers youth a safe, stable, and nurturing environment during a difficult transition while they wait for a long-term foster home. Staff provide care for up to three children at a time in a structured setting, helping maintain routines, ensuring safety, encouraging positive behaviors, and creating a supportive atmosphere where children feel respected and cared for.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive supervision and care for children in foster care awaiting placement. Create a safe, structured, and supportive environment. Assist with daily routines, meals, activities, hygiene reminders, and bedtime routines as appropriate. Build positive, professional relationships with youth through patience, empathy, and consistency.

Maintain appropriate documentation and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Ensure confidentiality of all children and families. Maintain all required certifications, trainings, and agency policies. Work collaboratively with coworkers to provide consistent, high-quality care.

Qualifications
