Junior Engineer / Senior Technician – Electrical
Job description
We are looking for a skilled Junior Engineer / Senior Technician – Electrical (Plant Maintenance & Automation) to support the maintenance and reliability of automated manufacturing equipment and production assembly lines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in plant maintenance, industrial automation, PLCs, robotics, and electrical systems.
This role focuses on minimizing production downtime through effective troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of electrical and automation equipment. Troubleshoot faults in automatic assembly lines, robotic systems, and industrial automation equipment. Diagnose and maintain PLCs, control systems, and basic DCS systems. Support maintenance of robotic pick-and-place systems, dispensing machines, and resistance welding equipment.
Maintain electrical panels, control circuits, field instruments, sensors, vision systems, and industrial cameras. Assist in the installation, commissioning, modification, and optimization of automation equipment. Analyze equipment failures, perform root cause analysis (Why-Why), and implement corrective actions. Monitor maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and equipment uptime.
Support TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and maintenance procedures. Manage spare parts, maintenance tools, and consumables effectively. Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations. Maintain maintenance records, reports, and documentation using MS Office and SAP.
Key Skills and Qualifications Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering. 3–5 years of experience in plant maintenance, industrial automation, or automated manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of PLC and Control Systems, including: ABB B&R Automation Siemens Fanuc Mitsubishi Electric Basic understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
Hands-on experience with industrial robotics, including Fanuc, Adept Technology, Stabil robots, and pick-and-place systems. Experience with industrial automation equipment, including vision systems, cameras, sensors, and dispensing systems. Knowledge of resistance welding systems, including Miyachi and Lingal equipment.
Basic understanding of pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings. Strong troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and preventive maintenance skills. Familiarity with SAP, MS Office, and maintenance reporting systems. Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
