Job Description Title: Two-Wheeler Test Rider Location: Bangalore Job Type: Full-time Industry: Automotive / Two-Wheeler Manufacturing Reporting To: R&D / Quality Engineering Team Summary: The Two-Wheeler Test Rider will play a crucial role in evaluating motorcycles and scooters under various road and track conditions to assess performance, safety, quality, and rider comfort.
The position involves conducting structured tests, recording detailed observations, and providing actionable feedback to engineering and quality teams. By ensuring accurate reporting, safe riding practices, and adherence to testing protocols, the Test Rider contributes directly to product reliability, safety, and overall development of two-wheeler vehicles.
Responsibilities
Conduct road and track testing of two-wheelers as per company testing protocols. Evaluate vehicle performance, handling, braking, mileage, vibration, noise, and overall ride quality. Perform durability tests by riding vehicles for extended periods under different conditions. Identify abnormalities, defects, or performance issues and report them accurately.
Maintain detailed logs and provide feedback to R&D, QA, and technical teams. Ensure safe and responsible handling of vehicles during all test cycles. Follow all safety guidelines, wear prescribed riding gear, and comply with testing standards. Assist the technical team during vehicle inspections, adjustments, or re-testing.
Requirements
Valid two-wheeler driving license with a good riding history (mandatory). 2–3 years of experience in riding or related roles (delivery, motorsport, or test riding preferred but not mandatory). Excellent riding skills and confidence in handling scooters and motorcycles of different engine capacities. Strong understanding of road safety and traffic rules.
Physically fit and able to ride for long durations across varied terrains and conditions. Basic mechanical understanding of two-wheelers is an added advantage. Good observation skills with the ability to provide clear, honest feedback. Willingness to travel for testing activities and work flexible schedules, including early mornings if required.
