About the role
ARES Technology Consultants is seeking a BIM Designer to support the planning, design, modeling, and coordination of low-voltage systems across a variety of mission-critical, commercial, and technology-focused projects. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining BIM models, supporting design documentation, coordinating with project teams and external trades, and assisting in the successful delivery of telecommunications, security, and other technology infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Revit, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and has experience supporting the design and documentation of structured cabling, physical security, audiovisual, wireless, or related building technologies. This is an evergreen opportunity intended to attract talented BIM professionals with backgrounds in either Telecommunications, Security, or both disciplines.
What you'll do
Develop and maintain Revit models, families, drawings, and project documentation. Support the design and coordination of low-voltage technology systems, including telecommunications, security, access control, video surveillance, wireless, and other building technologies. Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver high-quality project solutions.
Participate in BIM coordination, clash detection, and model reviews to ensure project accuracy and quality. Assist with the production of construction documents and design deliverables. Attend project meetings and support coordination with clients, contractors, and trade partners. Utilize Revit, Bluebeam, and other design tools to support project execution.
Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedule commitments and quality standards. Support continuous improvement of BIM standards, workflows, and design processes.
Qualifications
Technical or Associates Degree from an accredited institution 2 or more years of experience actively designing low voltage and communication systems for buildings Familiarity and demonstrated knowledge of ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards Experience with Revit software Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines and clients as necessary Credentials as an RCDD or working towards this title (preferred) Electrical Engineering degree, or related discipline (preferred) About Ares Technology ARES delivers expert support for mission-critical data center operations, specializing in electrical and mechanical systems, commissioning, and infrastructure reliability.
