Career Category Finance Job Description Senior Associate, AP Statements & Reconciliation (2 FTEs – AIN) The Senior Associate, AP Statements & Reconciliation is responsible for executing the day-to-day vendor statement outreach, reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution process. This role leverages a sophisticated AI platform to identify and resolve exceptions across vendor accounts, ensuring AP subledger integrity and minimizing financial exposure from missing invoices, unapplied credits, and duplicate payments.
This is an exciting operational role within the Amgen India (Hyderabad) AP team. The Senior Associate has a solid-line reporting relationship to the local Manager, AP Operations, and a dotted-line relationship to the global Manager, AP Statements & Escalations, who sets the program direction and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Statement Reconciliation Execution Perform end-to-end reconciliation of vendor statements against SAP (ECC) subledger balances using the Xelix platform. Review and action exceptions surfaced by Xelix: missing invoices, unapplied credits, duplicate postings, pricing variances, aged open items. Investigate discrepancies in SAP and determine corrective action.
Process vendor credits, debit memos, and reclassifications in coordination with the invoice processing team. Maintain a clean, current view of open reconciling items with documented status and next actions. Vendor and Stakeholder Outreach Conduct outreach to suppliers to obtain statements according to the defined cadence (monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc).
Follow established escalation paths for non-responsive vendors, coordinating with the Manager, AP Statements & Escalations and Amgen business partners, when needed. Respond to vendor inquiries related to statement and reconciliation activities in a professional, timely manner. Document all communications and resolutions for audit trail and continuity.
Reporting and Controls Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting on statement program performance. Adhere to SOX and internal control requirements, providing documentation in support of internal and external audits. Identify and escalate recurring root causes (master data issues, process gaps, system errors) to direct and dotted-line management.
