Job description
The medical interpreter will provide accurate interpretation and translation services for limited English-speaking patients, their families and health system staff. Serves as a resource for staff in providing culturally and linguistically competent health care. Must be fluent in both English and Spanish. Some flexibility in schedule will be needed for scheduled interpretation sessions.
When not performing Medical Interpretation Services, will assist and perform Registration/Scheduling Representative functions. This includes conducting registration interviews with patients and/or their representatives in a prompt, professional and courteous manner to include reception and communication activities while maintaining positive patient relations.
