About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our Government Services finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring robust financial control, statutory compliance, and the accuracy of financial data across multiple legal entities. This is a dynamic, hands-on role offering exposure to global operations, where you will collaborate closely with Regional Finance, FP&A, and shared services teams to support high-quality financial reporting and informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Reconciliations Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions Perform detailed P&L and balance sheet reviews Prepare and maintain robust account reconciliations Safeguard the integrity and accuracy of financial data Month-End Close & Audit Support Support month-end and year-end close processes, including payroll-related journals Prepare and post complex accruals Provide support for external financial and tax audits Technical Accounting & Compliance Manage CAPEX accounting and tracking Calculate tax expenses in line with applicable regulations Ensure compliance with Group policies, GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory requirements Business Partnering & Analysis Collaborate with FP&A to support budget and forecast comparisons Provide accurate actuals and analysis for business insights Support ad-hoc analysis and special projects to drive performance Process Improvement & Systems Maintain and enhance accounting processes and internal controls Support continuous improvement initiatives across workflows Ensure clear documentation of accounting processes and systems Stakeholder Management Work closely with Regional Finance and Global Shared Services (GSS) to ensure consistency and accuracy across entities Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to support a smooth and timely close process About you Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field Fluent in English Experience in financial accounting within a multi-entity or international environment Strong knowledge of GAAP / IFRS and statutory reporting requirements Proven experience in month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support High attention to detail with strong analytical skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across teams and regions Proactive, organised, and committed to continuous improvement Strong Excel skills; experience with financial systems is advantageous Benefits Opportunity to work in a global, purpose-driven organisation Exposure to complex, international finance operations Collaborative environment with strong cross-functional engagement By joining International SOS, you will contribute to a global network dedicated to protecting people and organisations.
