SAP Project Manager – S/4HANA Release Upgrade

An international company, active across multiple countries, is looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead an S/4HANA release upgrade project, based in the Zurich area (50% on site). You will take overall ownership of the project, leading a cross-functional project team, and working directly with the steering committee and stakeholders across several departments and countries.

This position is open to freelance also.

Key responsibilities

Overall project management of the SAP S/4 upgrade project Plan and monitor the project, prepare steering committee materials Align with other projects and departments to clarify dependencies Communicate with stakeholders Maintain comprehensive project documentation (project plans, status reports, decision logs, risk registers, steering committee materials) Requirements 10+ years of SAP experience, including a proven track record managing SAP S/4HANA release upgrade projects Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver within scope, time, and budget Solid technical understanding of upgrade-related concepts (client concept, freeze periods, dependencies with other projects and systems) Experience with large-scale, multi-business-unit, multi-country landscapes is an advantage Excellent communication skills; the project runs in English, German is a strong plus
