We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager II – Interventional Cardiology in our hospital in Limerick, Ireland. Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Contract: Permanent Responsibilities Provide effective leadership, guidance, and support to nursing and allied healthcare staff to ensure high standards of patient care.

Oversee the implementation and evaluation of departmental service plans to ensure operational efficiency and quality outcomes. Develop, implement, and manage departmental policies with a strong focus on service improvement and change management. Ensure efficient utilization of resources to support continuous quality improvement and effective service delivery.

Support recruitment, retention, and workforce planning initiatives, including monitoring skill mix, turnover rates, and WTE control. Assist in staff performance management, professional development, annual appraisals, and the management of sickness and absenteeism. Promote effective multidisciplinary teamwork, communication, and collaboration within the hospital and with external healthcare services.

Coordinate patient care activities across the department to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centred service delivery. Monitor clinical incidents, complaints, audits, and near misses, ensuring appropriate investigation, reporting, and implementation of corrective actions. Maintain and promote professional and clinical standards through evidence-based practice, supportive supervision, team motivation, and staff development.

Requirements

Be registered, or eligible for registration, in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Hold post-registration experience in Coronary Care nursing. Possess valid Registered General Nurse (RGN) registration. Have a minimum of 5 years post-registration nursing experience, including at least 3 years in a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory or Cardiology setting.

Demonstrate relevant management experience and/or a recognised management qualification. Exhibit strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and accountability skills. Provide evidence of ongoing continuing professional development appropriate to the role.
