How You'll Make a Difference As a Technician II, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain material handling equipment at customer locations and in our shop.

Your work keeps businesses productive, minimizes downtime, and ensures equipment operates safely and reliably. Every repair you complete helps our customers succeed while reinforcing Briggs' commitment to exceptional service.

What You'll Do

Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment, including engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, transmissions, brakes, steering, and lifting components. Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic welding while following manufacturer specifications and Briggs safety standards.

Complete service documentation, manage parts needed for repairs, and maintain a clean, safe company vehicle and work environment. Participate in technical training, support a strong Safety-First culture, and contribute to the success and growth of the service team.

What You'll Bring

High school diploma or GED, plus at least 3 years of forklift repair or closely related equipment service experience. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and use precision measuring tools; welding or fabrication experience is a plus. Excellent customer service and communication skills, along with a valid driver's license and the ability to travel to customer sites.

Commitment to safety, continuous learning, and providing dependable, high-quality service. Hyster-Yale certifications are a plus.
