Job Description: General Position Summary: A team member plays an essential role in supporting the mission of Homestead Heights by helping create a warm, safe, and home‑like environment for residents, families, and visitors.

Team members contribute to the overall functioning of the community by delivering dependable service, upholding regulatory and organizational standards, and demonstrating kindness, respect, and professionalism in every interaction. Regardless of department, this position works collaboratively with colleagues, responds to resident needs with care, and helps ensure that Homestead Heights remains a welcoming place to live, work, and thrive.

Responsible to: Nurse Leader, Activity Director, Culinary Leader, Administrator Qualifications : Must have exceptional personal relations skills as are appropriate when caring for and supporting our residents who are nearing the end of life. Must be in good mental and physical health. Must be able to be flexible to do many different tasks in one day.

Requires a cheerful, kind, considerate, and compassionate demeanor. Must have demonstrated commitment to teamwork and a positive attitude. Must be able to possess a sincere interest in our residents, in compassion, understanding, and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Establish and follow facility policies and procedures. Support and empower our residents to maintain their independence, their sense of fulfillment and usefulness, and their quality of life. Must take appropriate training and education as is assigned and be receptive to new opportunities and ideas. Must immediately report all accidents and incidents observed to a delegated person.

Must keep all residents’ personal information confidential. Must be able to use EMAR for medical records and medication administration records. Take time to visit and make a connection with the residents. Take them for walks, work on a puzzle, look at magazines and newspapers with them, and listen to them are a large important part of your day.

Help with housecleaning, laundry, serving meals, and anything else you are asked to perform. Perform any additional related functions as directed by the administrator.
