Bylaw Enforcement Officer

Under the general direction of the Director of Corporate and Protective Services, and reporting to the CPO Supervisor, the Bylaw Enforcement Officer independently manages municipal bylaw matters from initial assessment through resolution. The Officer conducts investigations and inspections, gathers and assesses evidence, determines appropriate compliance or enforcement action, issues authorized notices, orders and municipal tickets, and prepares files for review or court.

Enforcement is undertaken fairly, consistently and in accordance with the principles of natural justice. This position will be scheduled for four-10 hour shifts each week on rotating days between Monday – Saturday.
