- Coverage Period: July 15, 2026 – Ongoing
- Clinical Shift Schedule: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM, and 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM COVERAGE DATES
- Starting July 15, 2026
- Ongoing assignment
- Flexible scheduling; must be available for both day and night shifts
- Coverage across Brownsville and Weslaco locations PATIENT INFORMATION
- Patient Demographics: Adults and Pediatrics
- Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 32,000 annual visits (Brownsville) and 23,600 annual visits (Weslaco)

- Case Mix: Emergency Medicine including general surgery, orthopedics, neurology, cardiology, OBGYN, gastroenterology, pulmonology, psychiatry, respiratory, and gastrointestinal cases FACILITY INFORMATION

- Office Equipment Available: Full ED capabilities including imaging and lab services

- Emergency medicine evaluations and management
- Stabilization and treatment of acute conditions
- Interpretation of diagnostic studies
- Coordination of care with inpatient and specialty teams JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Active Texas license required
- Board: NP or PA Board Certification required
- DEA: Active DEA required
- Certifications: ATLS, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required
- Experience: Minimum 1 year emergency medicine NP/PA experience required
- Other Qualifications: Must be willing to work days and nights; must meet cross-credentialing requirements across multiple Valley Baptist facilities DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide emergency medical care across multiple facility locations
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute patient conditions
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
- Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and standards of care
