ABOUT THE ROLE

At The Wild Rabbit, every detail matters. Our General Assistant plays an important role in ensuring that the standards of The Wild Rabbit are maintained at an immaculate and consistent level. This is a hands-on and varied role that requires a proactive approach and a keen eye for detail. As a visible member of the team, you may also be on hand to offer friendly assistance to both guests and colleagues, responding flexibly to operational needs and helping to create memorable experiences that reflect the high standards of The Wild Rabbit and the wider Bamford Collection.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and upkeep across all internal and external areas of the property, including public spaces, guest facilities, terraces, pathways, car parks, and surrounding grounds. Carry out daily opening, cleaning, and refreshing routines to ensure all guest-facing areas are consistently welcoming, safe, and ready for use throughout the day.

Monitor and maintain outdoor spaces, ensuring furniture, cushions, parasols, gravel areas, and guest amenities are clean, presentable, and weather-appropriate. Regularly clean, replenish, and maintain guest facilities, including toilets, fireplaces, log stores, wellington boots, bicycles, and soft furnishings. Support the smooth operation of the property through effective waste management, including bin collection coordination, cleaning of refuse areas, and maintaining tidy external environments.

Conduct routine property checks, replacing light bulbs where required and promptly reporting maintenance issues, damages, or health and safety concerns to management. Assist with stock deliveries and goods receiving, ensuring supplies are organised, stored correctly, and readily accessible. Undertake a variety of housekeeping and property support tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to maintaining the highest standards.

Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments, providing support where needed to ensure an exceptional guest experience at all times. SKILLS & EXPERTISE Previous experience in hospitality, cleaning, facilities, maintenance or a similar practical role is preferred. Experience of working within a luxury hotel, restaurant or other high-quality guest environment is desirable.

Strong attention to detail and an understanding of exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards. A genuine commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Ability to organise and prioritise scheduled duties while responding to changing operational needs. Ability to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a wider team.
