Job description
Position: Carpenter Department: Engineering Normal Working Hours: •Varied; Normally 8:00AM to 4:30PM, but will vary dependent upon work assignments and hotel needs. Past Work Experience Requirements: •Journeyman skill level to consist of accepted 4 year apprentice program with classroom time and 8000 worked hours or experience and technical skills equal to the apprenticeship from working in the trade for a number of years Educational Requirements: •High School Diploma or G.
E.D. Communication Skills Requirements: •Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers Technical Requirements: •Valid West Virginia Driver’s License •Any special skills a plus Physical Requirements: •Lifting up to 70 pounds regularly •Walking •Standing •Climbing ladders, scaffolding, stairs continuously •Ability to work in confined spaces Work Conditions: •Hot •Cold •Dirty •Wet •Long hours •Confined spaces •Working in high places and on scaffolding Required Supervision: •Ability to follow specific general instructions •Independent decision making skills required •Ability to work independently Other Requirements: •Scaffolding erection •Overtime required *Requirements Subject to Change
