Senior - Lead Software Engineer (Java)

Our client, a global logistics leader, is enhancing its core web platform to support worldwide operations. To achieve this, a specialized team has been formed to develop and manage microservices tailored to evolving business needs. The team is currently looking for an experienced Software Engineer with deep knowledge of Java to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of these services.

What You’ll Do Guide architecture, design, development, and operations discussions and decisions Build and maintain microservices using Spring Boot and Java Oversee Git workflows, code reviews, and branch management strategies Implement and manage CI/CD processes Utilize containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes Work with Content Delivery Networks (CDN), preferably Akamai Apply expertise in MS Azure or similar cloud platforms Why This Role Matters This is an opportunity to shape the future of a platform critical to global logistics operations.

Requirements

Ability to guide architecture, design, development and operation discussions and decisions. Familiarity with software design patterns Knowledge of Spring boot framework Proven experience with Java, enabling you to effectively perform code reviews within the development team. Proficiency in advanced Git workflows, code review processes, and branch management.
