
Job description
Major responsibilities:
- Coordinate with manufacturing plants / TOP for product development
- Prepare/ Review / verify Design calculations, and provide inputs to Assistant Design Engineers & CAD Engineers.
- Receive, analyse & comment on inputs / suggestions received from manufacturing plants.
- Release final drawing / design to manufacturing plants.
- Maintain Quality Records and Schedule / Budget records for given projects.
- Ensure compliance of products with design standards / codes
- Perform following activities under guidance: Conduct conceptual design studies pre-development / during development. Study of Functional requirement specification & preparation of Technical Specification. Guiding team(s) for various projects / assignments.
- Experience in Nuclear Valve design and ASME Section III preferred. Requirement profile: Formal education: Graduate in Mechanical Engineering Professional experience: > 3 years in similar role Defined competencies: Functional Skills : Sound engineering temperament Proficiency in MS Excel Knowledge of 3D CAD System with Unigraphics is preferred Knowledge of manufacturing processes and foundry practices is desirable Ability to independently co-ordinate and guide team of 2 to 3 engineers Behavioural Skills : Analytical thinking ability Attention to details Knowledge sharing Communication
