Key Duties & Responsibilities Anantara The Palm employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are to: Assist in managing the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments, ensuring efficient service delivery and compliance with Anantara standards.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness, quality, and presentation standards are consistently maintained. Ensure all housekeeping operations comply with health, safety, hygiene, and security requirements. Monitor and enforce compliance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and brand standards.
Support special projects, task force assignments, hotel openings, and events as required by Minor International. Coach, train, and guide new and existing team members, ensuring effective onboarding, continuous development, and cross-training opportunities. Assist in maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and external partners to support smooth departmental operations.
Manage housekeeping inventories, including linen, uniforms, guest supplies, amenities, and minibar items, ensuring accurate records and appropriate stock levels. Ensure lost and found procedures are followed, with all items properly stored, recorded, and handled according to hotel policies. Monitor linen, towel, and uniform par levels to maintain operational efficiency and minimise shortages.
Implement initiatives to reduce wastage and improve cost control within the department. Ensure effective key control procedures are maintained to support guest security and operational compliance. Support payroll and labour cost management by monitoring overtime and addressing operational challenges promptly. Foster a positive and motivational working environment, promoting teamwork and effective communication across departments.
