Posting Title: Anaesthesia Industry: Hospital Salary: ₹1.5LPM to 2LPM Work Experience: 1+ year Responsibilities: Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia in accordance with medical protocols and patient needs. Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments to evaluate patient health, medical history, and surgical risks.
Monitor and manage vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, etc.) throughout the surgical procedure. Respond promptly and effectively to any intraoperative complications, including hypotension, arrhythmias, or allergic reactions. Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in the OT to ensure seamless perioperative care.
Document all anesthesia-related procedures, patient responses, and post-anesthesia care accurately in medical records. Ensure compliance with hospital safety standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements in the OT. Participate in emergency resuscitation and critical care situations when required.
Stay updated with advancements in anesthetic techniques, equipment, and pharmacology through continuous professional development.
Requirements
MBBS degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Anaesthesiology (MD/DM in Anaesthesia) or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a hospital-based Operating Theatre (OT) setting. Proven track record of participating in and managing anesthesia for 50+ surgical procedures across diverse specialties (e.
g., general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, neurosurgery, etc.) Strong knowledge of anesthesia equipment, monitoring devices, and emergency airway management techniques. Proficiency in managing both elective and emergency surgeries under time-sensitive conditions. Excellent communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills in high-stress environments.
Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and any required state medical councils. Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties as needed.
