Job description
Our client, a major infrastructure contractor, is seeking a Site Engineer to join a rail infrastructure program supporting maintenance and major works across the Sydney rail network. This role will support engineering coordination across a long-term rail framework program involving maintenance upgrades and infrastructure improvements.
About the Role
Working within a brownfield rail environment, you will assist in coordinating engineering and construction activities to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project schedules.
Key responsibilities include
- Coordinate construction engineering activities across project works
- Monitor construction progress and ensure delivery aligns with program schedules
- Prepare compliance documentation and progress reporting
- Manage QA/QC processes and quality documentation
- Raise and manage non-conformance reports and requests for information
- Support contract compliance and project reporting requirements
- Assist with monthly reporting on project progress and performance Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil or related discipline)
- Minimum 3 years experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects
- Experience working within rail environments highly desirable
- Strong project planning and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
