Join a global pharmaceutical R&D organisation building modern cloud-native data platforms that accelerate scientific research and drug discovery. The platform ingests, transforms, validates, and delivers large volumes of scientific and biomarker data used by researchers worldwide. As an Automation Tester, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the automation testing strategy for a data-centric platform.
Your focus will extend beyond UI testing to validating data pipelines, data loading processes, API integrations, and data quality while ensuring compliance with GMP/GxP requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Define the automation testing strategy for a modern scientific data platform. Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Python. Validate complex data loading, transformation, and ingestion workflows. Verify data integrity, consistency, completeness, and quality across multiple systems. Automate testing of APIs, backend services, and data processing components.
Validate ETL/data movement processes and large-scale scientific datasets. Execute automated regression, integration, API, and end-to-end tests. Analyse test results, identify defects, and collaborate on root cause analysis. Work closely with Data Engineers, Software Engineers, QA, and Business Analysts. Produce and maintain GMP/GxP-compliant test documentation.
Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing processes, and platform quality.
