Accounting Manager

A well-established accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead its accounting function and support a diverse portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities

Maintain and oversee accounting records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness Supervise the proper execution of accounting entries, general ledger activities, fixed assets register, account reconciliations, and financial reporting processes Ensure full compliance with Greek accounting and tax legislation Prepare, monitor, and analyze financial and tax data Manage and oversee tax obligations and filings, including VAT returns, myDATA submissions, withholding taxes, intercompany reporting, E9 declarations, and other statutory requirements Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable regulations Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of 3 accounting professionals Support and advise clients on accounting and tax-related matters Monitor and optimize accounting procedures and internal controls Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field 8–15 years of experience in an organized accounting environment, including experience in a managerial role Strong knowledge of Greek accounting standards and tax legislation Proven experience in managing and developing accounting teams Solid experience with ERP and accounting systems, such as Soft.

One, Entersoft, and SAP Strong knowledge of Category C bookkeeping and financial reporting Professional certification or a postgraduate degree in a relevant field will be considered an asset Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational abilities with strong attention to detail and accuracy Analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset Benefits Annual Gross Compensation: Base Salary €35.
