Advisor – Maritime Operations Amsterdam, Netherlands | On-site Are you the Advisor we're looking for to help take Pathways to the next level? Join Pathways and help transform maritime and offshore operations. We partner with clients to improve processes, systems, and data, delivering measurable operational and business impact.

As we continue to expand internationally, we are growing our team and are looking for someone who combines deep maritime operational expertise with a passion for collaboration, transformation, and delivering value to our clients. We are now looking for an Advisor who will strengthen our subject matter expert (SME) capabilities across core maritime operational processes.

You will work closely with clients, Process Leads, and project teams to deliver practical, industry-leading solutions and help ensure the success of complex transformation initiatives. Among your responsibilities will be: Strengthen Pathways' subject matter expert (SME) knowledge within core maritime processes, including Maintenance, Procurement, Inventory, Dry Docking, Projects, QHSSE, and Document Management.

Facilitate and lead client workshops focused on process management, including process mapping, process improvement, and requirements gathering. Act as Pathways' “content” authority on core maritime processes. Apply industry best practices and help manage stakeholder expectations throughout the transformation journey. Bridge operational experience with client needs, helping stakeholders navigate change, and identify practical improvements.

Contribute to improving project deliverables by ensuring solutions are operationally sound and aligned with industry’s best practices.

Requirements

Strong understand of core maritime processes, including Maintenance, Procurement, Inventory, Dry Docking/Projects, QHSSE, and Document Management. Operational experience from either sailing or shore-based maritime roles, such as Superintendent, Fleet Manager, Technical Manager, or similar. Experience with driving change and transformation within maritime organizations.

Experience from system implementation in a maritime organization – for instance experience implementing Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS). Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor junior team members. Ability to work on-site with the client. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Dutch language skills (spoken and written) are considered an advantage.
