Job description

Job Overview Level Up Talent Solutions is hiring a Compensation Analyst for a US-based Mortgage and Financial Services organization. This role is responsible for administering compensation programs, processing variable compensation and sales commissions, conducting compensation analysis, and supporting compensation-related projects and system implementations.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting US-based compensation, payroll, or HR operations, possesses advanced Excel skills, and is knowledgeable in compensation management systems. This role will work closely with HR, Finance, Payroll, and business leaders to ensure accurate and compliant compensation administration while supporting strategic compensation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation

Administration Serve as the primary point of contact for compensation-related inquiries and provide guidance on compensation programs and policies. Calculate, validate, and process sales commissions, incentive payments, and variable compensation accurately and on time. Configure, administer, and maintain compensation and incentive plans within internal compensation systems.

Ensure compensation plans are implemented accurately and comply with company policies.

Compensation

Analysis Conduct market pricing, salary benchmarking, and compensation analyses using salary surveys and external market data. Evaluate new and existing positions and recommend appropriate salary ranges, job grades, and compensation structures. Participate in compensation surveys and prepare analytical reports and recommendations.

Develop and maintain job descriptions aligned with organizational structures and compensation frameworks. Reporting & Compliance Prepare recurring and ad hoc compensation, commission, and incentive reports for HR, Finance, Accounting, and leadership teams. Coordinate documentation required for audits, compliance reviews, and reporting.

Ensure compliance with applicable US federal, state, and local compensation and employment regulations. Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and compensation data. Systems & Process Improvement Support HR system implementations related to compensation, payroll, and benefits. Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT to improve compensation processes and system functionality.

Identify opportunities to automate and improve compensation administration processes. Assist in maintaining compensation, payroll, and HRIS data accuracy. Stakeholder Management Collaborate with managers and business leaders regarding compensation decisions and best practices. Provide recommendations regarding compensation policies, incentive programs, and salary structures.

Support additional compensation and HR initiatives as assigned.
