Food Service

• Supper Program Head Cook Type: Food Services Department, 168-day positions; Mon-Fri, 12-8 pm. Classified Labor Agreement. Supervised by Food Services/Warehouse Director, but works under and is directed by Supper Program Supervisor on a day-to-day basis. Eligibility: High school graduate or GED (must submit copy of diploma or certificate with application or certificate of enrollment in GED program. Must have clean criminal record (no felony or multiple misdemeanors). Duties: Assists the Head Cook in serving students and staff; prepares and cooks food; prepares dining and serving areas; cleans kitchen equipment, sweeps and mops floors; assists in planning daily work schedules. Qualifications

Required: Minimum one (1) year experience in food services field; knowledge of and experience in food preparation, especially in large quantities; physical ability to stand and to exert 50 pounds force in lifting, carrying, etc. Preferred: Previous food preparation experience in a school/ institutional setting. Salary: DOE per Hourly rate -- per current Classified scale: 0 experience = Lane 2 $18.50 ($19.12 after successful completion of a 90 day-probationary period).
