Job description
An Assistant Head Lifeguard is responsible for assisting and supporting the Head Lifeguard, with or without supervision. This includes participating in and providing supervision for Lifeguards monitoring activities at beach waterfront areas and swimming pool, including functioning as a Lifeguard in maintaining order, preventing accidents and rescuing swimmers in distress.
Assistant Head lifeguard also participates in scheduling of personnel; assigning Lifeguards to duty stations; and giving instructions in pool operating or waterfront procedures, rules, safety practices, maintenance, and related matters.
