Hospitalist Locum Opportunity Campbellford Memorial Hospital | Trent Hills, Ontario Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH) is seeking a Family Physician or Internal Medicine Specialist to provide Hospitalist locum coverage December 25, 2026 – January 1, 2027. CMH is a 38-bed community hospital located in the beautiful municipality of Trent Hills, serving approximately 40,000 permanent residents across Northumberland, Peterborough and Hastings Counties, in addition to a large seasonal population.

Located just 2 hours northeast of Toronto and 1.5 hours northwest of Kingston, Campbellford offers the perfect balance of rewarding rural medicine and exceptional quality of life. As the only hospital between Peterborough and Belleville, CMH provides a comprehensive range of acute care services in a supportive, collegial environment.

Locum Details Coverage: December 25, 2026 – January 1, 2027 Responsible for a 38-bed inpatient medical unit, including a 4-bed Special Care Unit Seven nights of on-call coverage (typically low volume) Collaborative multidisciplinary team with experienced nursing staff and allied health professionals Epic electronic medical record Compensation 100% Fee-for-Service billings Hospital On-Call Coverage (HOCC) stipend: $900/day (Monday–Thursday) $1,200/day (Friday–Sunday) $1,800/day on statutory holidays Mileage reimbursement Local accommodation provided for locums Qualifications Applicants must: Hold independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) Be certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Hold current ACLS certification Experience providing inpatient and geriatric care in a community or rural hospital setting is considered an asset.
