Director of Communications (Media Relations and PR)
Job description
RAINN is seeking a Director of Communications who lives and breathes media relations. This role is for a PR leader who genuinely loves the chase-spending their day building relationships with reporters, pitching stories, making calls, following up, spotting breaking news and cultural moments, and landing meaningful earned media.
You’ll lead RAINN’s media strategy across print, broadcast, digital, podcasts, and emerging platforms while positioning our experts and mission at the center of conversations about prevention, justice, and healing. You’ll also help shape entertainment partnerships, elevate federal and state policy work, coach spokespeople, and strengthen RAINN’s broader communications strategy.
