- Parramatta Job Description Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Supervisor to join Service Stream based in our NSW/ACT Team About the Role Service Stream’s Telecommunications division are seeking an energetic and experienced Field Supervisor’s to work on our Service Excellence contract. Reporting directly to the Regional Area Manager, you will be responsible for providing direction and supervision of subcontractors and internal work crews to ensure all field work activity is conducted at each site in a safe and effective manner. This role is offered on a permanent Full-Time basis, reporting into our Parramatta office, this position is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate. The key objectives of this position are to support the Field Services Manager in the day-to-day operational activities and contractor management functions within the NBN Unify Services contract. In addition, the Field Supervisor will assist with internal and external stakeholder management, Quality Management through data capture and work type product quality auditing in SA Nature of position: Permanent / Full Time Location: NSW/ACT Reporting Line: Regional Area Manager Job Description Summary Lead, direct, supervise and coordinate the activities of field staff and sub-contractors. Undertake scheduling of work, staff and equipment to ensure production targets are met Ensure all field work is of a high quality consistent with relevant OH & S policies and procedures Coordinate and assist in the training of all staff and sub-contractors Liaise with the client and its customers to appropriately manage the client’s network and plant Liaise with and make all arrangements with Public Authorities for provision of services to the network and working in public areas Arrange reports to management and the customer on the status of work.
About You
Previous working experience in telecommunications network construction environment leading NBN and Telstra field operations Possess an expert knowledge for the delivery and maintenance of large-scale construction projects for NBN and a thorough understanding of relevant aspects of the various networks and the work practices required by NBN Understand materials/component identification and supply chain flows across all technologies Ability in resolving day-to-day operational issues and solve technical problems with a high degree of autonomy and independent judgement, and key working relationships with the client’s regional teams.
Flexibility and ability to Travel required. Experience required 5 years Telecommunications Field based 3 years NBN Telecommunications FTTP, FTTC, FTTN, HFC and civils Field based 3 years Supervisory/Team Management experience Qualifications required Construction Industry White Card Provide First Aid Certificate
