Overview

Milestone Centers Inc. DEPARTMENT: Outpatient POSITION: Outpatient Therapist STATUS: Part time SCHEDULE/HOURS: TBD LOCATION: Monroeville and Wilkinsburg Milestone Centers, a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is a nonprofit, community-based human services agency supporting individuals with behavioral health challenges and intellectual & developmental disabilities in communities throughout Western Pennsylvania.

Milestone Centers has earned certification from the Sanctuary Institute for providing trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for providing evidence-based, comprehensive mental health treatment to clients in an outpatient setting; providing assessment, determining clinical need, developing person-centered and strengths-based approaches to assist client in the development and attainment of treatment goals.

The Outpatient Therapist will facilitate individual and group psychotherapy sessions and provide psychoeducation and skill transfer to increase the client’s sense of personal empowerment and overall well-being. Meets or exceeds established productivity standards for scheduling and providing direct service (100% scheduling, 60% productivity).

Conduct behavioral assessments to determine a baseline of client’s therapeutic needs and formulate treatment goals and objectives within allotted treatment times. Administer and score the assessment tools, behavioral checklists, and protocols as needed Develop and implement treatment plans using SMART goals as a strengths-based approach in addressing defined problems Review, collect, and assess data to inform treatment plans.

Review successful interventions and address barriers to treatment. Provide individual, family, and group counseling services Documentation: Utilize automated systems including electronic health record and email systems to document all therapeutic activity. Submit completed documentation within required timelines (point of entry, assessments, progress notes, etc.)

Open all new cases by completing all required screening and assessment tools, treatment plans, crisis plans, releases of information and Plan of Care (POC) form with all required signatures and meet timelines required by insurance compliance. Assure all progress notes for therapeutic services are written according to program and agency standards and clearly reflect treatment goals that are indicated in the comprehensive treatment plan.
