Account Executive

kdataai

Downtown Toronto (Underground city), Ontario, CanadaFull time$50k – $500kPosted May 23, 2026

Job description

We are hiring a full-time Account Executive to own new business across our Canadian market. You will be our dedicated closer — owning pipeline generation, deal advancement, and contract close. You will report jointly to the COO and VP of Sales. This is a relationship-led role, in-market in Toronto. We sell to Toronto-headquartered enterprises in financial services, insurance, and telecom — and our motion is built on showing up: client lunches, Databricks Toronto user groups, partner co-sell coffees, Bay Street meetings.

The role is not a remote outbound seat. You should expect to be in front of clients and partners in person, regularly. Where and when you do desk work is your call. This is a hunter role with uncapped commission. Top performers clear $200K+. If you're a mid-market closer who wants the upside of a real commission structure and the autonomy of a small-team environment, this is for you.

We will pursue opportunistic US-border deals on a case-by-case basis.

What You'll Do

  • Own a target account list across our Canadian market
  • Be in-market — client meetings, Databricks/GCP user groups, Bay Street events, partner co-sells, industry roundtables, in person
  • Build and deepen direct relationships with buyers in financial services, insurance, and telecom
  • Co-sell with Databricks Canada and GCP Canada partner managers
  • Run discovery, advance, and close opportunities from $50K to $500K+
  • Write proposals; negotiate scope and terms; close SOWs
  • Maintain a clean pipeline and accurate forecast
  • Represent KData at the Databricks Data + AI Summit and major Canadian data/AI events Requirements
  • 3–6 years of quota-carrying closing experience in B2B services — ideally data engineering, cloud consulting, or systems integration
  • Track record of personally closing deals in the $50K–$500K range; references should be able to speak to closed revenue
  • Familiarity with at least one of: Databricks, Snowflake, AWS/GCP/Azure consulting partner ecosystems
  • Toronto-based (mandatory) — this is an in-market role; relocation acceptable
  • Strong in-person presence; comfortable at client lunches, events, and partner meetings
  • Motivated by uncapped commission; comfortable with a variable-heavy comp structure
  • Strong written communication; able to write proposals independently
  • Self-directed; this isn't a role for someone who needs a manager to set daily activity Nice to Have
  • Existing buyer relationships at Toronto-headquartered enterprises (Big Five banks, Sun Life, Manulife, Rogers, Bell, Telus, and similar)
  • Existing Databricks or GCP partner-rep relationships in Central Canada Big-4 or Tier-1 SI data/cloud practice background — we're hiring people who want to close deals directly
