WAVE Foundation Volunteer Coordinator - Part-Time Year Round [S]

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, development, and support of the organization’s volunteer program. This position serves as a primary point of contact for volunteers, ensuring they have a welcoming, organized, and meaningful experience while supporting organizational, educational, conservation, and community engagement goals. The Volunteer Coordinator oversees volunteer recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, communication, training coordination, engagement, recognition, and retention. The position works collaboratively with staff across departments, at both WAVE Foundation and Newport Aquarium, to identify volunteer needs, establish clear expectations, and ensure volunteers are appropriately trained and supported in their roles.
