The Department of Education at Southwestern University invites applications for a part-time Instructor/ Professor to teach Survey of Exceptionalities in Spring 2027 . This introductory course explores the range of human experiences of individuals with exceptionalities (including those who are gifted and/or have learning, mental, physical, emotional, or sensory disabilities) and their families.

Students examine cross-cultural perspectives on disability, historical and legal foundations, and contemporary issues in education, with emphasis on how social responses shape quality of life and educational access.
