CALNET is ISO 9001, ISO 20000, and CMMI-Level III certified As a Prime Government Contractor for a major government institution, we are currently searching for a talented Junior Windows System Administrator with Secret Clearance to work in Washington DC. JOB REQUIREMENTS: A Junior Windows Systems Administrator maintains and secures Windows-based IT infrastructure, including servers, Active Directory, and workstations.

Key duties involve user account management, patching, software deployment, system monitoring, and providing Tier 2/3 technical support. They typically require 0-3 years of experience and work under senior staff to ensure network stability and security.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory (AD), Group Policy (GPO), and DNS/DHCP. System Maintenance & Patching : Perform routine server backups, monitor system performance (CPU, memory), and apply security patches. User & Access Management : Create, modify, and delete user accounts, manage permissions, and handle password resets.

Technical Support : Provide patching to servers, daily monitoring of the Network, Tier II/III support to resolve complex workstation and server-side issues. Documentation : Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and user guides. Security : Implement basic security measures, such as virus scans and firewall management.

Qualifications

1–3 years in IT support or systems administration. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Power. Shell scripting basics.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent work experience.
