Department Head – Cloud & Infrastructure
Job description
As the Department Head of Cloud & Infrastructure, you will lead the modernization and optimization of the organization's IT infrastructure and cloud platforms. This role is critical in enabling scalable, secure, and sustainable digital operations across manufacturing, logistics, commercial, and corporate functions. This is a high-impact, enterprise-scale leadership role that underpins mission-critical systems for an iconic brand.
It offers a unique combination of real authority and a mandate for ongoing modernization, supported by strong strategic vendor partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Lead a multi-disciplinary department comprising End User Computing, Service Desk, Network, Multi. Cloud SRE, Cyber Security, and Infrastructure Architecture. Define and execute a roadmap for infrastructure evolution that aligns with long-term business goals.
- Operational Excellence Ensure high availability, performance, and resilience across data centers, network architecture, enterprise storage, and platform operations. Lead incident management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning to stabilize mission-critical platforms. Monitor KPIs for service quality, operational stability, and vendor performance.
- People & Organization Management Build organizational capability through coaching and role clarity, shifting from individual tech dependency to a scalable team model. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Governance & Security Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, collaborating with risk teams to maintain a strong control environment. Align infrastructure operations with company-wide sustainability and "Green IT" initiatives.
Requirements
Technical Foundation: 10+ years of hands-on experience in either Cloud, Infrastructure, or Network (experience in all three is not required). Enterprise Leadership: At least 3 years of leadership experience within a large-scale enterprise environment. People Management: Proven experience managing managers or teams of 8+ members.
Outcome Driven: Demonstrated ability to drive stability, scalability, and modernization through teams and strategic partners.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of SAP or other specific enterprise technologies. Relevant certifications in cloud platforms, ITIL, or security. Language Capabilities:
