Job description
This role serves as a hands-on electrical engineering lead within a product development organization. Acting as both technical leader and people manager, the position oversees electrical system design while coordinating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver complex hardware products on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to the design, evaluation, and integration of electrical systems at the product level. Act as a playing manager, providing technical direction while managing resources, risks, and priorities. Own requirements definition, core design reviews, testing, and system-level evaluations. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve technical challenges and drive improvements.
Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and regulatory expectations through structured validation and testing.
Requirements
Required Experience & Skills Strong background in electrical or electronic system design for commercial products. Experience designing at the system or device level, including evaluation and verification. Proven ability to lead projects or teams and coordinate across functions. Hands-on experience with testing, troubleshooting, and quality or compliance considerations.
Fluent Japanese communication skills; ability to work in a collaborative, on-site environment.
Nice to Have
Experience in smaller or fast-growing organizations with broad technical ownership. Exposure to regulated products, compliance testing, or production-scale development.
